US Ambassador to Kenya  Robert Godec  on Thursday confirmed that the country's leadership would remain impartial to the final ruling and asked the Supreme Court to use the law and factual evidence in deciding the presidential petition. Before the Opposition filed the petition, former US Secretary of State  John Kerry  had advised NASA to use the legitimate process when challenging the election results. The outgoing Bomet Governor, Isaac Ruto, has spoken for the first time since his defeat to Joyce Laboso in the race for Bomet County boss. Speaking in an interview with Citizen Digital, the opposition National Super Alliance (NASA) principal said he was hoping that justice will prevail in the Supreme Court, where NASA has filed a presidential election petition. " There were serious irregularities in the election. It is my hope that Justice will be delivered at the Supreme Court,". Ruto said. Ruto said that the opposition alliance had enough evidence in the petition, adding that numerous election irregularities in the August 8th elections were witnessed. Ruto further said that although there were serious credibility queries surrounding election process in gubernatorial contest in Bomet County, he will hand over power to the incoming governor, Dr. Joyce Laboso, who won on a Jubilee Party. "Let Dr Laboso continue with development activities from where I left and do more
